The new heart of London is starting to beat: at MIPIM the property and development world will see how the legacy of the London 2012 Games is shaping east London. Nowhere else in Europe can offer investment opportunities on this scale; for UK and international investors, the destination is Newham.
Team Newham is at the forefront of east London's delegation to MIPIM - which takes place March 6th to 9th in Cannes, France - with a dedicated presence in the London Pavilion. Led by the private sector and supported by Newham Council, Team Newham's mission is to convey the borough's compelling attractions and ensure that investment is drawn into Newham to create thousands of jobs for many years to come.
Team Newham is promoting investment opportunities in Newham's "Arc of Opportunity", a hugely ambitious regeneration project to rejuvinate over 140 hectares of brownfield land from Stratford via Canning Town, through to The Royal Docks. This will be a magnet for investment in development and construction but also in financial and business services, retail, education and research, the visitor economy and the cultural and creative industries.
And the Mayor of London has recently announced the establishment of a new Green Enterprise District stretching across east London and incorporating the Royal Docks, making Newham an ideal base for high-tech manufacturing and green enterprise.
